I believe all children deserve respect.
I believe children should not be humiliated, hurt, or embarrassed.
I believe in treating children fairly, not necessarily equally.
I want my students to enjoy the learning process, and I want to help them develop their own motivation for becoming life-long and self-directed learners. I will do my best to encourage my students to succeed in their attempts to learn. I will use relevant and current practices, techniques and resources to engage students. I will help them to be globally connected, positive digital citizens.
I will treat each child as an individual, striving to meet the unique needs of each student.
I will help my students learn responsibility by expecting them to be responsible and productive.
I believe modeling is the most powerful way to affect a child’s learning, so I will strive to present curricula in an exciting, enthusiastic manner and model an authentic love of learning using best possible practices.
Children’s attitudes about school can be greatly influenced by beliefs held in the home. I will encourage effective communication between the child’s home and the school, and encourage parents to stress the importance of education in their child’s life.
