“The Sandbox Manifesto”

I have been eagerly awaiting the beginning of the K-12 Online Conference and was not disappointed by the keynote opening segment by Angela Maiers today.  Her “Sandbox Manifesto” which compares purposeful play with successful work and play in our classrooms, life and on the “Social Web” is a thoughtful, fun comparison which highlights the importance of playing together, being nice, discovering and solving problems together, collaborating and working together. There are 10 basic tenets of The Sandbox Manifesto and they culminate with “Play is the work.”

I am looking forward to following more of the K-12 Online Conference and am thankful for speakers like Angela Maiers who make it clear that YOU MATTER.
